“Quaint restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

This is a popular and quaint restaurant situated on the main road.

They managed to look after a large party admirably, however, the Penne we had was rather dry.

Staff are friendly.

“Nice enough.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

Haven't been to Giovannis for over 4 years. I knew that there was no way they could have changed the recipe for the Garlic Mushrooms as this would of been suicide, and guess what they hadn't, so so happy. The Spaghetti Bolognese was just as nice as it always was. This is a no frills no fuss restaurant. Although I did have to ask twice for the bill.

“Great little Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013 via mobile

I used to go to Giovannis on a regular basis with my parents until my mid 20's but hadn't been there for a while so for my 36th birthday last week, we decided to give it a try. I have to say we were impressed. The nice atmosphere was always a big selling point and I'm glad to report that it is still a lovely place to eat. The food was very good, clearly very fresh and the service was both friendly and quick. Price wise whilst not thr cheapest, iy certainly represents good value for money and really I would expect to pay more given the quality of the food. All in all I would recommend to anyone.

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

The food was very poor, greasy, poor use of seasoning and burned. The service was rescued by a lovely lady but the male servicing use before her looked like he rather be in the pub.
Overall a failed attempt at being Italian restaurant.
