“Good, no frills hotel on a budget”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

I have stayed several times this year and have always been impressed with the value for money. Let us be clear from the start - this is a budget hotel, nothing opulent or fancy. The quality comes from the hotel being able to provide all the basics to a good level.

Rooms are not significantly bigger or smaller than other budget hotels. There is a comfortable double bed, a two seater sofa, and a cramped desk area with a small (4:3) TV. The use of laminate flooring is welcome and saves guests from putting up with cheap, dirty carpets. The curtains are excellent - once drawn, they block out all light from the outside, even during the day. Internet is available in the rooms but you need to use a network cable (which is supplied).

The bathroom looks good with a clean modern design and a large walk in shower, but note that there is no bath tub. It is clearly designed to enable easy cleaning and cheap assembly, but everything is clean and works well.

On the ground floor there is a restaurant and bar which I avoid (as I tend to for all hotels). Breakfast is available for just under £10 and is an all you can eat buffet. Pastries, cereals, toast, yoghurts, and the usual fry up items are all available. Nothing special - the value for money of £10 depends on how much food you can eat.

The location is good for car users with relatively easy access to the M6 and free parking. The hotel is also only a short one mile or so drive away from the railway station in case you need a taxi.

Overall, a decent hotel with quality rooms. It does not offer anything more than standard, but everything it does offer is at a good level. You can get great deals for rooms at under £40 per night. I would pay no more than £55 (at a push) per night.

Booked this on the non flexible rate a couple of weeks out so got a Friday night for £29, therefore great value. Hotel easy to find with Sat Nav, as it is on a new business park, so a lot of locals and maps don't have it on. Hotel very clean & functional, staff good, a little isolated for food choice, but thankfully what we had in the resturant (?) was whilst basic, burger & scampi, was nice. I'd stay here again.

I booked at the Ramada Encore in Crewe as it was one of the only places available for the dates and location I wanted. Turned out to be ok. My one complaint would be that my room was just above the "outside seating area" for the bar and has it was quite hot during the stay there were several loud groups outside very late into the evening. I couldn't close the window because it got too hot in the room. Other than that, everything was fine. Breakfast in the morning was lovely and the staff was most helpful.

I stayed at Ramada Crewe whilst on business in the area and have stayed a number of times. The staff are excellent, friendly and always helpful. The rooms are a good size and spotlessly clean. Wifi is free and accessible. My only disappointment remains the food in the restaurant in the evening which remains poor; poor quality and just poor standard.

Room Tip: If you would like a quiet room request a high floor and one overlooking the car par

We stayed there for one night on Friday 23rd August and we had a very warm welcome and staff were very friendly. Our room was lovely and the bed was so comfortable . We had a meal in the evening and that was gorgeous and very good priced.
We only had room only as we were setting off very early the next day so I cant say what the breakfast would have been like but if anything like the meal then lovely.
We would definitely stay there again.
