First of all, this the Tudor House Tea Rooms are in Cheadle Staffordshire, not Stoke on Trent!
My sister called in a couple of weeks for abite to eat whilst out for the day. This is an original Tudor building with exposed oak beams and a quirky feel to it. There is a mix of dining tables and chairs alongside sofas and coffee tables. The tables and chairs ahve been painted in lovely powdery pastel colours and all the crockery is original retro, so 1950s and 60s china rtea sets etc.
there's a good menu of sandwiches, toasties, baked potatoes etc. All food is cooked/baked on the premises and good quality. We had baked potatoes one with cheese the other with coronation chicken. the plate was garnished with a colourful salad and home made crunchy coleslaw. The baked potatoes were soft and fluffy inside and the fillings were lovely. Our coffee was served in individual cafetieres and drinking from the retro china was a real treat.
To finish our meal we hade coffee and walnut cake and a scone - again really lovely. The friendly service was quick and eficient and the bill was very reasonable, so we would happlily recommend.
