Description: "Alderley Edge – home to some of the nation’s most famous sporting faces, not to mention some of the most demanding diners in the North West. This is where Italian restaurant Gusto steps up to the bar. Taking 1950s New York Italian restaurants as inspiration Gusto has a filmic atmosphere thanks not only to clean, stylish décor but to the raft of slim, glamorous girls sipping wine and comparing the contents of their shopping bags. In the summer Gusto is the perfect place to people watch with a sun-trap terrace just the spot to enjoy a lingering lunch. Every dish on the classic Italian menu is freshly prepared and delicious, a welcome change from the pre-cooked chain pizza. "

“Snotty attitude!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Always good food no good atmosphere. Current manager was very off hand and we won't go back there if she's on duty - yuk.

“Noisy but good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Very noisy atmosphere as they do tend to have alarge number of tables at any one time - that aside the food holds up well

“Poor hygiene!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

I have used Gusto's home delivery service several times before and have always been impressed with both the food and the service. So I was expecting the Alderley Edge restaurant to be of a similar standard. I had the Griffin pizza, sampled the battered courgettes and chose tiramisu for dessert. The food was distinctly average. However, the real reason why I'm writing this review is to warn people about the disabled toilet and baby changing facilities. The standard of cleanliness was disgusting! The room looked filthy with grime built up in the corners. The sink and hand drier looked like they had not been cleaned in days. The baby changer leaned at a dangerous angle and had a layer of crime on top and a broken pen in the hinge. To make matters worse, this was also the place where the high chairs were being stored! The smell alone was enough to put me off my dessert. If you are disabled or eat out with your baby, stay away!

“Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013 via mobile

We've been a few times now but it never seems to get any better. There are lots of staff but only about 20% of them seem to do all the work. Others just walk around looking pretty. The only good thing is the fillet steak but all other dishes are very bland. I love pizza but here I think they're mean with the toppings. You almost feel like you're dining with the next table as they're so close. It's a real shame as it does have the makings of a good restaurant if they just tried a little harder.
