We have been to Jennie Wren's on a couple of occasions - both times at lunch over the weekend. There are always other customers in there and it obviously has a loyal clientele.
The menu is ordinary for a cafe and the food is good value for money with some great homebaked items, however I was put off by the decor.
The cafe is in a great location off the market square and it has the most room out of all of the cafes in Winslow, but there is quaint and then there is plain dated. I like the idea of the classic "twee" tea room remaining popular - I find that they have a certain nostalgic elegance, but in this case I think we are at a mid-point where it is not what you'd expect from a classic tea room and it is not a modern cafe, just something a bit drab and dated in-between.
It's a shame - decent food and value for money, but my surroundings ruined my appetite.
