“Olde Worlde stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

Situated on the edge of Winslow, down a narrow cul de sac lane which makes parking a bit tight. The cottage dates from the 1600s, so taller guests will have to negotiate low beams and doorways. Apart from creaky floorboards, the B&B is quiet and free from road noise. The large first floor room, which we had, was a nice size with adequate bathroom with free standing bath and somewhat cramped shower. Breakfasts were very tasty and Anna is an attentive host and receptive to guests` wishes. The other first floor room is fairly small and the attic twin room very small. These are 17th century dimensions after all! The turning staircase is narrow, steep and, having no handrail, may be a trial for the elderly or infirm. Pretty garden.

Room Tip: See above.

An excellent B & B in a pretty cottage which has been very tastefully decorated. We had the largest room which had an extremely comfortable bed and an excellent en suite with bath and very powerful shower! The ceiling heights aren't too bad for an old cottage but some of the doorways are very low indeed!! The stairs are pretty steep so may not be great for everyone especially if you are in the top floor room. Lovely breakfast cooked by Anna who was very charming. Only arrived in the evening and left straight after breakfast so didn't have chance to explore Winslow but it looked a rather lovely little place.

Room Tip: The large double on the first floor is extremely comfortable! Don't go for the top floor twin ro...

I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. The lady who ran it wad friendly and welcoming. The room we had was large and well laid out with a superbly comfortable bed and an on suit bathroom with a powerful shower. The organic cooked breakfast was perhaps the best I have ever had when staying somewhere. Locally sourced bacon and sausages were really tasty.

Just so Cottage is a fantastic old house and it feels like stepping back in time but with many of todays modern conveniences.
We spent a couple of days in the cottage in late November (sorry for not reviewing sooner) and were thoroughly smitten with its old world charm and character. Anna and Josh are great hosts and we enjoyed their company during breakfast as well as advice on where to visit and eat. The Old Thatched Cottage was a great recommendation and Heather and I really enjoyed our meal. The 2 days we had went so fast so we would love to come back again and spend more time in this beautiful old house. We might have the other double next time as loved the roll top bath.

We stayed at Just So Cottage recently and the reviews are spot on! Anna was fabulous and the cottage so lovely! The rooms were beautiful and very tastefully decorated, the breakfast was delicious and the food fresh.
We would definately recommend Just So Cottage to friends and would stay again without doubt.

Room Tip: Not suitable for people with walking difficulties, the stairs are narrow and steep.

Due to family commitments my girlfriend and I couldn't be together in Christmas Day so we spent our first Christmas together at the cottage. From start to finish we had a truly magical time.

On our arrival we were greeted by Anna, a very charming landlady, and instructed to make ourselves at home. All if the rooms are delightfully decorated and have a very homely feel to them. Anna suggested a few local pub for dinner and we can highly recommend both the Old Thatched Inn at Adstock and the Crown at Great Horwood. There is plenty to do in the local area and we will definitely be staying again in the futre

Just So Cottage is as the name suggests, just so. Everything is immaculate, the breakfasts perfect, rooms are lovely, the welcome is very warm. We have just spent a really comfortable and enjoyable weekend here, visiting Bletchley Park (which was fantastic) and Bicester Shopping Village (expensive!) and it was convenient for both. There are good pubs close by, any advice you need regarding eating out is very forthcoming from the very charming owner. Highly recommended.
