In Buckingham for a carriage driving competition day at Addington Equestrian Centre and staying at the Travelodge on Friday night.
A nice stay after a sticky start. A group of people had been booked in under one person's name. So a certain amount of question and answer had to take place proir to being allowe in. You'd think that some system would automatically kick in to establish other guests. Or is there some complication that has escaped me?
The room was as one may expect at a travelodge. It was neat, airy and clean. The coffee and tea stuff was there, but why can they not just leave a slack handful of tea and coffee, milk and suger etc. instead of the old two of everything? To be fair to the staff, extras were quickly given when asked for.
The bed was big and comfy, but the pillows were a bit on the thin side. I usually drip on about not having proper drawers, and this room was no exception, but for one night it is not a problem really.
The other campain revolves round hotels that fit those squeazy affairs for despatching soap that require the grip of free climber to use. This was not a problem here because there are no bottles to squeaze! Just a little bar of soap. Come on Travelodge set the standard and fit authritic-friendly soap dispensers. ( Is this how you spell authritic?)
However, it was a good quiet night, and I would definitely go again.
