“Friendly service and delicious food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2014 via mobile

Three of us went to this restaurant for a weekday lunch. It was very busy and we were in a small separate dining room. The service was excellent. Very attentive without being intrusive. My husband and I had pancakes to start and our companion scallops all delicious. We had chicken and two different veal dishes for mains with a selection of vegetables. Excellently cooked. Our desserts were from the sweet trolley and finished off a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Would really recommend this restuarant.

“A birthday treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

We were at Guidos for an 80th birthday celebratory lunch. The food was excellent with plenty of choice from the Sunday Lunch set menu which has 3 courses plus coffee to finish. The service was first class and at Guidos they don't try and sell you the most expensive wines, but will recommend wines in the medium range. House wines are also available. 10% service charge is added which is reasonable. All in all Guidos came up trumps and we will certainly be returning.

“Always reliable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

A very pleasant, reliable restaurant.
The food is always well cooked and beautifully presented, even if the menu is predictable.
Recently I've been a couple of times with a group in the private room and enjoyed the visit both times. I appreciate being able to order from the menu on the day, unlike another nearby restaurant which demands you pre-order if you're in a group.
Would I return? Of course, we go a few times every year.

“Wonderful food and atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014 via mobile

We had a family get together using the private dining room. From the initial meeting to discuss menus and wine choices to the evening itself, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, the wine that was recommended was also fantastic. The staff made us very welcome and the banter was exceptionally funny without being intrusive. One of our party had a particular food intolerance and this was handled extremely well and discreetly which was much appreciated. Yes, it is a little step back in time, but the excellent service, food and atmosphere is something that many modern restaurants lack. A real gem of a place to eat for a special occasion or, just because you can. We will certainly be returning as a couple and no doubt as a family for further celebrations.

i have visited this restaurant a few times. Excellent service as always. The meal was scrumptious and the banter with the waiters was wonderful. Lovely family restaurant.
