“Quick, friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

We walked over here after the Dolphin Research Center. There were 17 of us and we got a table right away. Jerry was our waiter and he was great. The food was very good. Most of us got appetizers and they were great. Would definitely go back.

“It was a Wreck!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

The Wreck was highly recommend to us for dinner as a great locals spot. Our family of 14 arrived for dinner at a few minutes after 7:00. We were quickly seated at three tables in a small room which we had all to ourselves. At one table was our four children who were seven and under and we had two tables of adults. The room where we were seated was very hot and had no air flow. After about 20 minutes the adult's drink orders arrived...the basics... beer, tea and sodas. The beers were the wrong ones, but we were hot and thirsty and the beers were cold, so we gladly accepted them. After waiting at least 30 minutes, we questioned about the orders and we were assured that the food and drinks were coming. After about 45 minutes, the children's drinks and the second round of adult drinks finally arrived. Again they served the wrong beers but we accepted them because we didn't want to wait. At little after 8:30 the food finally began to arrive. The turkey on the club sandwich was warm, the fish on the mahi sandwiches was sparse and very thin and prepared grilled when it was ordered fried and prepared blackened when it was ordered grilled and as a meal when a sandwich was ordered and paired with the wrong sides. Most of the order was wrong but again we sent nothing back because by now an hour and a half had gone by and we were all hungry and hot. (I will note however that the food was delivered hot.) The waiter deducted two entrees and a couple of beers off of the bill. A couple of our friends were seated outside the same night and they got their food quickly. No mention of quality though. Hopefully we could chalk this experience up to simply a bad night but I don't know if I would take the chance to go back again.

“Get the grouper!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

We eat at this restaurant every chance we get. Fantastic food and great service. Don't be fooled by the low key appearance of this eatery it is a super eating experience and the food will knock your socks off. Very family friendly as well!

“Great food, friendly service. Kids loved it.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Recommended by a local - looks like a bar, but family friendly ( and cool) patio. Great draft beers, huge portions of iced tea or soft drinks, impressive menu and very good food. Very large portions! Come hungry.

“Heaven for the kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

You wouldn't know by looking at this place, but it has a great menu. The kids liked the gator bites appetizer and my one year old inhaled the mac and cheese kids plate. I had the coconut shrimp with the Thai Chili sauce and I have to say it was about the best coconut breading that I have had. I also head rave reviews about the coconut grouper sandwich and the pasta dishes on the menu have earned their place as favorites as well. Relaxed atmosphere here and sea-worthy service to boot, great choice for young children. It might have been just me but I found their beer to be extra cold and delicious.
