“Friday Night in the Keys!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013 via mobile

I had the fish special, Hog Fish. He name sounds funny, but it was actually very good. My wife had the shrimp wrapped in bacon, she also liked her meal. The views out the back just before sunset were amazing!

“Incredible!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

We were vacationing at Marathon Key and a waitress from our lunch place recommended this place to us. We had a hard time finding the restaurant as it was located behind a not so attractive resort. However, when we finally found the entrance and walked in it was full of energy, a grand welcoming and amazing food. White tablecloths and a take back in time to small hideouts in Brooklyn,NY. The service was outstanding with personalized attention from Alberto!! The food was so fresh and the price was so right. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves great food, excellent service and a charming quaint place to dine. 5 starts!!

“Hideaway Cafe, Grassy Key”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

The Hideaway Café was recommended by a local and was a little hard to find as it is I the back of the Rainbow Hotel. Cuisine and wait staff was excellent. We were a party of six and had 1 bottle of wine. Dan had a 32 ounce Ribeye, Vince had a whole roast duck, Jerri had a full rack of lamb, Sharon and Margaret had the fish special and I had Coque Co Van. Each had an appetizer and salad. Total bill with 20% tip $360, a good value for the quality and quantity of food and service. Our waiter Roberto was outstanding!

“Not to be missed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

After a series of bad meals in the Keys, we found our way to the Hideaway Cafe. We actually drove past the place because when we saw the Rainbow Inn Resort, we couldn't believe it could be the right place and we wondered if we had made a mistake. We were happily surprised after climbing the stairs to the cafe to find that the ambiance and the view were wonderful. The waiters were welcoming and professional. It felt like old-fashioned, classic service. The service and the food were both outstanding. Our only regret was that we spent the same amount of money on meals at other nearby restaurants that were not even a fraction as good. I don't know that I would take young children there. We had two teenagers with us and it was a good experience for them.

“My favorite place to eat.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Everything here is made from scratch. It is really a hidden restaurant but take the time to find it. Overlooks the ocean. On busy days I would suggest you make a reservation as we went twice and they were overbooked, sad for us. The food is fantastic and the waiters help you with every need.
