“Awesome guide”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

Our guide Tom was very good and informative. We arrived late in Valladolid and headed straight for MexiGo to book the 1 day tour for Chichen Itza/ Izamal for the following day. The guide Julian for our Chichen Itza tour was detailed and we learned a lot about the Mayan architecture and how they lived in the past. Izamal was amazing, with its beautiful architectures and yellow distinctive buildings. Tom gave us a good commentary on the city.

“El Balam, Rio Lagarto and more”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

Had a fantastic time and tour with Mexigo. The trip to Rio Lagarto was everything that was promised and more-saw crocodiles, flamingos, white pelicans, osprey, and blue heron and many other birds. The mayan mud baths were a fun mess and Ek Balam was truly amazing with Juan, a multi-lingual guide. Our lunch was beautifully presented and one of the best meals I've had during my whole visit to Mexico. Umberto was knowledgable, professional and also alot of fun. As you can tell, I can't say enough good things about the tour-much more than a 5 star rating.

“Amazing tour!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

We (40's parents, 11 yr old son) took the GoMaya tour. Everything was amazing. We chose our bikes from a large selection, got our seats adjusted and off we went. Visiting the market was so interesting. The vendors take such care in the display of their fruits, veggies, etc. We bought a few things to taste and bring along on our ride. Juan Carlos, our tour leader, even took special care to avoid the butcher area since he knew my son was a vegetarian. We didn't ask for this, he just did it on his own. We were treated like special family the entire tour. Then off to Hacienda San Lorenzo Oxman. It is a very beautiful property with a spectacular cenote. We had all the time we wanted to swim and enjoy. Some of us couldn't get enough of the rope swing into the water. We visited 2 more cenotes that were the closed type. Some of us went in, I did not. Vivienne (Mexigo owner who also accompanied us) stayed with me and we had a very enjoyable chat. Those who went in said that the caves were very interesting and had an enjoyable swim. Then off to the Mayan village for tortilla making and lunch. This experience will be with all of us forever. The Don~a who taught us was so sweet and the lunch she prepared was very tasty. We had a great tour of the property. We stopped at another house to deliver some food and meet the family. They shared countless mandarinas with us from the trees in their yard. Then a beautiful ride through the yucatan countryside to Chichimila. Here we were given the option of going to another cenote or heading back to Valladolid. We decided to head back. At each stop we were given as much time as we wanted, we were never rushed on to the next stop. All the cenotes had changing rooms and western style bathrooms. There were several places to purchase cold water along the way. The tour guides have a genuine interest and love for the area and the people. They gave us so much information and we felt free to ask any questions. They are fluent in spanish, english, and know enough maya to communicate with anyone. I give Mexigo the highest rating possible and recommend them to everyone. I would love to go back to Valladolid and would take more of their tours. They are truly the best!!

“The best tour agency”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

Toon and his crew including the ever helpful Juan Carlos and Gilberto were fabulous to me. I did the Go Maya trip by bike and it was relaxed, interesting and memorable, visiting the market, the cenotes and the Mayan families in traditional homes. I loved my tortilla teacher, a tiny and friendly 80'year old Mayan grandmother. The next day I did the Go Flamingo trip, again relaxed and informative, with visits to the lagoon area by boat, the delicious lunch of fresh fish caught in the water right outside the restaurant and then visits to the beautiful and tranquil site of Ek Balam, and the source of the hand made tequila and finally the church of Santo Domingo de Guzman, a stunning end to a wonderful day. Mexigo tours is one out of the box, lots of good care and careful planning. EHighly recommended for all your travel and transport and information needs whilst in gorgeous and safe Valladolid.

“Mayan Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Have just spent two days in the company of MexiGo and can only say that the comments made by previous reviewers are fully justified. Toon and the team are fantastic - informative with a wealth of knowledge, great fun, nothing was too much trouble for them. The guides they arranged at Chichen-Itza and Ek Balam were excellent, spoke perfect English, and we learned so much more than we could have if we had just paid to go into the sites ourselves. There was no pressure to rush at any of the sites - we were given as much time as we wanted to wander round and take pictures after the guided tours had completed. We also went to Rio Legatos and did the boat trip - amazing; crocodiles, flamingos, a wealth of native birds, horseshoe crabs, and the Mayan mud bath - a real must ! We would recommend MexiGo to anyone visiting - avoid the coach loads and the impersonal service and tours and go MexiGo !
