We stayed here because of a mix up. We originally made reservations to stay at La Hacienda at Uxmal, but they had no record of our reservations, so their very helpful employee Simon sent us over to the Lodge ( same owners) and had us stay here for the same price. It's a good thing too because the Lodge is overpriced!!!
The rooms are average, 2 double beds, a mini fridge filled with expensive drinks for you to purchase, a TV with maybe 3 channels, it just wasn't anything spectacular.
The bathroom did have a huge tub, very spacious bathroom.
The grounds, on the other hand were beautifully maintained and kept up. Very scenic and beautiful. But watch out for falling palms! My friend was swimming in the pool when suddenly one of the palms off the tree fell off into the pool and barely missed his head!
The restaurant is also- overpriced! The food was okay, the shrimp stuffed avocados were good, everything else just mediocre for the price!
The thing about this place is that it is very conveniently located- literally across the street from the Uxmal ruins, so that was great. If you happen to go to the sound and light show at the ruins ( also not recommended and a waste of money) then it makes sense to stay here, so that you can get to the ruins early before everyone else. Aside from that- there's no need. It was very tranquil and peaceful, but make sure you rent a car and bring your own water- they charge you $28 pesos for a bottle of water!
