“Unique”

Provided you can stand hot and humid weather, do not miss this beautiful site dedicated to the God of Rain, Chac. It is really well preserved and offers incredible views.

“Excellent ruins at Yucatan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013 via mobile

If you have the chance to go visit this archeological site, they have tours with a guide in several languages and i reccomend you to hire one guide since youwill understand much better the history of the site. And a last reccomendation when you visit this site use sun block and mosquito repelent since it is a really hot place with so many mosquitos

“Superb Uxmal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

the quality and the atmosphere of the archeological site is first class. If you stay at the lodge you are on the doorstep. you can be first in in the morning and last out at night if you wish. A wonderful experience.

“This is the one to see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Almost didn't come here after getting exhausted by the crowds at Chichen Itza. That would have been a huge mistake. Uxmal ruins are better preserved that those at Chichen, much more impressive carvings and artwork, and the place is idyllic by comparison. Hardly anyone there, compared to the hoards at Chichen. If you are interested to get a sense of what a Mayan city must have been like, skip Chichen Itza and come to Uxmal. In fact, no matter what you are after, choose Uxmal over Chichen Itza.
