We had a great trip and I think the Gran Bahia Principe is a well run organization that does an awesome job making thousands of people from many different countries happy. Felix-- you do a fine job.
Room-we stayed in building 27 on the 3rd floor. Excellent location. Close to pools, snack bar and Premiere Golden lobby. Premiere Golden lobby had a little bar and the free computers. Room was spacious and our housekeeping was top notch. Always had a cute towel animal or some other decoration. Suggestions would be to bring an extension cord or one of those multiple plug in things as there are not a lot of wall plug ins. Also our fridge and coffee maker shared a plug in with our fridge so if you make your own coffee in the morning, be sure to plug your fridge back in.
Grounds-beautiful and well maintained.
Food- we thought the buffets and al a carts were great. We had 6 al a carts and only one we did not enjoy. But I think they were having a bad night as there were many tables that were leaving and not eating their dinner. Happens.
Service-again top notch. In you are kind and respectful I think you will find these folks will go out of their way. I thought most of the staff spoke pretty good english and they loved to practice especially if you were practicing your spanish!
Shuttles-pretty efficient. And again if you are nice to these guys they will go out of their way to get you where you need to go. We actually used the shuttles more than we thought we would
Noise-not an issue for us. But we were there during off season and don't stay out late.
Chair game-full swing. I think some of these people leave their stuff on the chairs around the pools 24/7 during their visit. Repeat visitors seem to be the worst offenders. Don't think I would want to try and get a chair during busy season. We always found a chair on the beach.
Beach-beach was fine and the sand whales did not bother me a bit. It is rocky to walk in to the water in most places, but you can walk from one end of the beach to the other and the sand is fine. I enjoyed the beach and we would usually find a chair by the coral wall near the beach bar.
My only complaints would have to do with the other guests
Incredible rudeness to staff and impatience.
Buffet manners-picking food up with fingers and dumping food from their plates back in to the chaffing dishes.....yuck.
