We went on three tours.

1) Mexextremo ATV tour - this half day tour included ATV in jungle, Cenote cave and snorkling over coral reef. Excellent and fun tour.

2) Ek Balam - This full day tour inluded repelling down into large fresh water Cenote cave, lunch, traditional Myan ceremony and then tour of Myan ruins. Excellent and diverse tour. Our guide Istee (Ice T) was funny, knowledgeable and cute.

3) Samba Catamaran (Isla Mujeres) - this was a full day tour from Cancun to the island of Mujeres. The tour included sailing to from the island on the catamaran, snorkling around the reef, sail swinging, lunch at a privite beach and shopping on the island. Oh yeah, and drinking and dancing on the catamaran. Loads of fun and the crew were funny and according to my wife good looking.

“A must do!”

The caves are amazing. The tour is the only way to see it all. I did find it a little limiting, as I'm a free diver and wanted to go exploring, but I completely understand that they need to keep a close watch on everyone because it could be dangerous. Overall, I would highly recommend at least snorkeling here. Do the tour. It's truly amazing.
