This is a great group of people, trying to positively impact the area. The turtle talks and other presentations are informative and interesting, and the work they are doing to educate builders, owners, tourists, etc. on how to preserve the beauty and health of the environment is so important. We visit Akumal multiple times per year, and sometimes the schedule of talks isn't kept, and sometimes the center seems un-manned, but this may be due to budget. Great photos on display, sometimes nice drawings from children's programs. and sometimes nice locally made gift items for sale too, which make nice things to take back home to friends.
