“Good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

We had lunch there one day and ice cream the next. The location is perfect before or after snorkeling at Akumal beach. Parking is the number one issue in that area. First time we tried to go the tiny lot that services a variety of places was full. You have to suck it up and pay, but they validate so it is fine. It is just very limited.
The food however was really good! The hummus plate and the fruit with yogurt was awesome. The homemade ice cream was delicious.

“Start your day here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

When staying in Akumal, we always go to Turtle Bay for breakfast
This is the way to start out your day in Akumal, wether you are just going to hang out on the beach all day, or go snorkeling in Yal-Ku, or scuba diving, or exploring other regional attractions. The food is always delicious, the coffee hot and strong, the orange juice freshly squeezed. It is consistently excellent, year to year. I think the first time we were there was in 2000, and we have kept coming back ever since! It is not on the beach, and does not have a water view, but rather is in a garden setting that is very peaceful and serene. Highly recommended!

“A Delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013 via mobile

Saw some reviews prior to our trip, but did not expect the friendliness and excellent food . Place is tucked away in a shady corner , laid back and relaxed. Loved the Beyond Veggie sandwich . Have foregone the blandness of our hotel food and visited here 6 days out of the last 7 . Shame tomorrow is our last day !
It is great to be able to snorkel in the bay with rays and turtles then chill in the Turtle Bay Bakery and Cafe

“Americanized food, some good american style bakery items”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

Good lunch place for an American style lunch or bakery items, such as cookies and brownies. Good quality.

“Food great, service quick, staff blase”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

We went here for dinner 4 nights of the 5 we stayed in Akumal. If you go between 4pm to 7pm, it's Happy Hour. (I really shouldn't have had the 2 for 1 margaritas)!
Taco's are half price too & were delicious (especially the breaded shrimp). Loved the lime cheesecake too.
We would have given 5 out of 5 but the staff just act like they don't care, even though the service is efficient. Very odd. But don't let that put you off. You might be lucky and get the one waiter who smiles :-)
