“Nice little restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

Nice restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Tucked away in a shady spot. Varied menu and most of the staff are friendly. Think they are going to be developing it soon but it should still be anice laid back spot.

“a gem in Akumal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

We were lucky to enjoy their luscious cupcakes, carrot and red velvet, at last year's Taste of Playa. Since then we've visited Akumal twice: to snorkel with the turtles and to eat at the Turtle Bay Cafe. Snorkeling works up an appetite that were o-so-satisfied by our choices: Lentil burger (hearty & fresh), Bbq bacon cheeseburger (best in the area), Turkey/bacon club. Sides were fries, potato salad or green salad. Nice beer and wine selection. They have a different menu after 5pm that we're eager to try on our next visit.

“Good breakfast.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

We always eat breakfast at Turtle Bay Bakery and this year it was still good with decent prices. We had full breakfasts, they have more than just bakery items.

“Fantastic Food and Drink!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

This little cafe is beautiful and is nicely tucked away. You can sit inside or outside, but outside is still nice and shaded which is just what you need after spending the day frying on Akumal Beach. You have to look for this cafe though as it's not on the main road, although there are plenty of signs for it around so it's not hard, andworth walking past the other places!!

The food was amazing! As a veggy I was slightly worried about my options when outside of the main resort, but Turtle Bay had more than enough choice! Beautiful fresh food, full of flavor would recommend it just for the savory food. But the cakes!!! Oh my!!! The only bad thing that I can say is that they are so far away and I wont be able to have one again! I went for the Key Lime Cheese Cake, and my boyfriend went for the Caramel Apple Cheese Cake. We still argue about which was best.

Double check their opening times, we got there late afternoon and they seemed to be closing after we had finished eating. And the margaritas are small, but pack one hell of a punch!

We wanted to try Turtle Bay after reading the reviews on here, and it did not disappoint, if you are in the area, this place is a must!

“Great Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

We always visit this place when in town, they always have the best burgers and wraps. Their smoothies are wonderful as well. Its a great location, tucked away in the shade, they have a nice bungalow that you can sit under, on those really hot days.
