Our room was on the Guanajuato Street side. There is a club on that road that on Saturday Night is super loud. The locals don't seem to go to bed either and drive down that street until 3am or worse. Then at 6am the Cathedral in the square will start the church bells a ringing. Our room got no air flow in June and so it was very hot, so we had to open the windows which made the noise even worse. No AC. We got very little sleep.
That aside, the Hotel however is quaint and the rooms are sparse but fine. Agree with the tile floor and wet feet. My wife almost took a dive out of the shower too. Its inexpensive so you can't expect too much, and the Hotel is on the square and is the heart of Dolores. It is all very nice. My brother stayed here one for a previous wedding. He had an inner courtyard room. He said they never had a noise problem. Worth thinking about.
