“Does this place really need one more 5 stars review? Oh well”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014

I guess it does! Beautiful, imaginatively designed space with glorious view of the lake. Peaceful yet artsy ambience. But really I'm writing about the food. I had the simplest of meals, 6 vegetarian dim sum dumplings and a small greek salad. But oh the skill in those simplest of dishes! This place as put together by Pedro is memorably incredible. Can't wait to return this week..

“One small plate was plenty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014

I went o Go on the recommendation of this web site. It's a charming place run and managed by the owner who obviously takes pride in it. It specializes in small plates, but I had one - shrimp with fusilli, and was full, Excellent food.

“Another Ajijic Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2014

Owned by a guy from Toronto who had 6 restaurants in the theatre district. WHat a creative menu. MAny assorted appetizers to choose from and if you are not adver¡nturous, there is a steak and potato. I had 3 appetizers to share with my husband (who predictably had the steak). A fab salad, a chicken satay and another veggie dish. I could not finish. THe owner is cordial and concerned over his guests unlike another restaurant in Ajijic that I have reviewed. The setting is intimate and cozy, like being in someones den. We loved it

“Had to eat one more time!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013

Tomorrow we head back to the freezing cold, but we had to visit this restaurant one more time.
It was Tuscany week which we have both been to a number of times...and this was as good as our memories! Pedro the owner was helpful in guiding us through the menu specials. (which all sounded great!) We settled for the shrimp dish and a spaghetti bolonesa. Some people can cook and others not so much...This guy knows how to cook!
Also, and I can't remember the name but we had a Mexican liqueur on his recommendation and it was great! Good service! Great View! and best of all...Great Food!
Ciao for now!

“Go has class.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

Amble north on Encarnacion Rosas, climb 30 steps and you will be welcomed by the best view of any restaurant in Ajijic. Gregarious Go owner Peter Palmer (Pedro) from Fred's Not Here restaurant in Toronto is hands-on, bussing tables, serving, chatting and keeping an eye on the guests. Go is the successor to Pedro's Gourmet restaurant. The ambiance was welcoming, guests laughing and chatting in English and Spanish. I imagined being in an upscale restaurant in New York city.

The eclectic menu varies weekly and offers a wide range of hot and cold appetizers and usually four different protein mains (pike or mahi-mahi, chicken or pork, beef and shrimp) that are country themed. The sauces are sophisticated and appropriate to the dish. Pedro offers a nice variety of sweets. Wine price was reasonable.

We love one of the little tables along the outside wall with great views of the sunset and the lake.

Our friends returned the following day for more sumptuous food.
