“Nice outdoor Setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

They have a nice courtyard of street, it is very quiet and private. Ricardo offers very good service, friendly and always ready to pleas. The choices include some Mexican Tapas as well and chicken, seafood and beef. It is good for lunch or an evening meal.

“Great courtyard”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Nice music, good food. Good value. I was not feeling like eating much and they made a light corn soup for me, it was perfect. A lot of times on our trip the food has been overly salty this was salted just right for me.

“How did we miss this gem?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013 via mobile

Los Telares is a quaint restaurant in the heart of Ajijic, a bit overshadowed by the more popular Tango, which we also enjoy immensely. It has an very nice exterior garden setting with some inside tables too, for cooler days or evenings. The staff was very welcoming. Someone had mentioned that the margaritas were good, so we started with that. Surprisingly, it was two for the price of one. We each got two margaritas which were very good. A friend suggested we try the bolognese sauce on pasta, which we did. It was delicious. We shared a Caesar salad which was plentiful, crisp and very tasty. They provided us with a half Caesar each. We skipped dessert and coffee. Instead we ordered another margarita (2 for 1) which we shared. I found the last margarita had a touch too much lime for my taste but my partner liked it. t was a Friday evening and Los Telares was full of cheerful diners, that appeared satisfied with their Culinary experience. The menu is varied and should easily accommodate all taste buds. The restaurant also provided dinner entertainment. The singing guitarist was an American who played and sang well known ballads. His voice and ability was soothing and added to the ambience of a relaxed, friendly evening. We look forward to returning to sample other items on their varied menu. Prices were reasonable, quality excellent and service very accommodating. A real gem!

“Good food friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

We originally walked in when we noticed the nice outdoor garden and mike set up for a guitarist. We started off with a few drinks. On Fridays most domestic beers are 2 for 1 and my wife actually enjoyed the 2 for 1 wine better than their not 2 for 1 Cabernet Sauvigon..When the guests around us started eating the food smelled and looked so good we decided to order dinner. We had the Vampire Shrimp and Bolognese Lasgna. .We were not disappointed. It was great. We finished off with some taramazu that we shared and some coffees. Not to mention a talented young guitarist that played 70's folky tunes for almost 90 minutes straight. The cost was very very reasonable for 2 premium beer (they don't count for 2 for 1) a glass of Cab Sauv a 2 for 1 beer coronas and the 2 for 1 wine with tip was about 450 pesos approximately.
