“The service makes this place a must stay.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013 via mobile

I've stayed at this establishment over the years but this time the service was truly exceptional; the front desk lady (who's name I cannot remember), was very kind and helpful and went out of her way to improve our stay. The room was very clean, quiet, comfortable.

Oh, and when they offer you the big breakfast for $9, go for it!! It's not just eggs & bacon, it's a buffet of food including fruit, yogurt, ham, cheese, waffles on demand and eggs made to order.
I will definitely stay there next time I go to St-Jean.

I stayed two nights here. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and they are always available. My room was large with a microwave and fridge, small table and chairs. The bed was really comfortable, one of the most comfortable I have slept in. The room was quiet, if there were people around I didn't hear them. It is not the most modern in appearance but has wifi, is clean, and comfy. I appreciated the tea available all the time. This is not a chain motel it has character, interesting art, a homey feel, and wonderful staff.

What a lovely experience. Being greeted and looked after by an amazing owner with a lovely staff. They will go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and at home. I continue to come back and get away from the impersonal hotel chains. Makes you remember comfort and friendliness is much better than useless points!!!

We were driving through Quebec and needed a hotel to stop off at with our small dog. They have some pet friendly rooms in part of the Hotel. The best part of the stay was the staff. The lady at the front counter made us tea and gave us a detailed map with all the food choices in the area. All in all a very comfortable stay.

The room was small, about one-third of the floor area was comprised of the queen sized bed. The furnishings were spartan and antiquadated. There was sufficient space for a mini-refrigerator and microwave. There was about a foot-and-a-half passage between the bed and the TV console.

I spent five nights in the motel unit and was very favorable impressed with the attention given in every detail. Cleanliness: great. Responsiveness: exceptional. (The clogged toilet was unclogged in less than 5 minutes after reporting the problem.) Service: exceptional. (Great security for bike storage.) Friendliness: abundant.

I look forward to returning next year. Auberge Harris is ideally located by bike trails that travel in three directions.

Room Tip: Choose the bicycle plan that includes a full American-syle breakfast. Eggs and waffles are made to...

We rode in after following the Route Verte #2 from Vermont. Madam Boutin saw us ride up and rushed out before we had our helmets off. She made us feel at home, made sure our rooms were comfortable, bought us the first beer at the auberge bar, and sat down and discussed touring with us from her own experience and love of the road. Secure locked and monitored bike room, great breakfast buffet. Madam Boutin made us dinner reservations, drove us to the restaurant, and washed our clothes! The service alone is worth the stay, but the rooms are top shelf as well, comfortable, well fitted-out, great shower. This is a top stop for cyclists, and there are lots of them there. I would hub-and-spoke tour from this wonderful spot anytime, but it was on to Montreal and we only had the one night. Definitely a place to re-visit when there is more time. Montreal is an easy day's ride away, and Madam has maps to share of other tours to explore. Thank you, Madam Boutin.

We went for the military graduation. We were a group of 7 ppl 4 rooms. We never asked to be put all together. However we were pleasantly surprised when they placed us all on the same.floor in the house unit with its own living room. The rooms are not modern but they are in excellent condition and extremely clean. The staff are wonderful especially the check in and out staff very friendly. The rate was reasonable $92 a night the Holiday Inn was $130 a night. The breakfast was nice we got the full one for $10 per person. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Auberge Harris.
