We stayed one night in the hotel at a cost of $75 + tax for a standard room (low season). Cost was the big factor in choosing the hotel and it was en route to Matapedia.
The room was a bit dark and the furniture was fairly old and getting worn (as noted by the other reviewers). The door area carpet smelled like dog pee (obviously pets are allowed). Otherwise, the room was clean and spacious and the door to the parking lot was handy. The hotel is split into four 3-storey level blocks. So, only the top two floors have balconies and our 2nd floor room had a balcony on one side with a view of the road and water and the parking lot on the other (our block was on the side of the hill). It was a fairly cool night and we actually turned on the heat (there was a fan in the room if it had been hot (no AC)).
If you're looking for something basic, I would recommend it at the discounted price. Anyone paying $95+ will likely be disappointed and I'd suggest trying the other nearby hotels/motels with kitchenettes at that high a price (unless you're willing to try the more expensive Deluxe rooms).
