Ate here with my wife for lunch recently and was disappointed in the food and value. We started with a shared "bowl" of seafood chowder (for $9/bowl). There was approx. 2 cups of milky underseasoned chowder broth with very little variety of seafood.
For our entrees my wife had the lobster roll (for $16) which was a meager amount of lobster with mayo and a scoop of potato salad. Needless to say we've both had much better.
I had the crabcakes (for $15). There were 3 pan fried cakes served with a scoop of potato salad. I wish I had something nice to say about them but they were just very ordinary. They were served with a pickle relish which was a nice accompaniment as the acid helped break up the blandness of the dense doughy cakes.
With a couple of regular drinks (and no dessert) our bill was $54.
On the positive side, they've got a great location with lovely views of Rustico Harbour and the staff were friendly enough.
We were put off by the loud and constant chatter coming from the open doored kitchen as you could hear everything the cooks and wait staff were saying to each other. Perhaps if we'd been on the deck we could have escaped their loud conversations that rarely seemed to be about food orders etc. I'm all for having a good time at work and frankly this isn't white table cloth dining but they should be aware of the noise.
