Owner description: A scenic, ocean-side golf course, Green Gables measures 7,000 yards from the back tees and has everything you would expect of one of the Island's top-rated links. Classic rolling greens guarded by deep bunkers, six water holes, an ever changing breeze and the dunes of PEI's famous north shore serving as a backdrop. This beautiful course was designed and built in 1939 by one of the world's most renowned architects, the late Stanley Thompson. Now, nearly seventy years later, another legend among architects has renewed the spirit of Green Gables. Thomas McBroom, whose designs have achieved innumerable awards and accolades, has blended his own unique perspective with Thompson's original concept to ensure Green Gables meets the highest standards of golfing expectations. “Great Golf, great scenery!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

Of all the 30 golf courses on the Island this one is my favourite.

Everything is so well done here; when you drive up to the club house you just feel you are in for a great day as the staff come out to greet you as you pull up.

The customer service is excecptional, everyone is very friendly, helpful and above all extremely professional;

Designed by Stanley Thompson the course is an old style links course that merges with the modern courses of today. It is excepionally maintened and always in great condition. It is a good challange for the above average golfer and for the good golfer it really does test you. With all the different tee decks even the novice golfer will be pleased!

Green Gables is an incredbily scenic course that offers a little sneak peek of the Green Gables House as you are hitting your approach shot from the fairway. Not just great gold but great scenery too!

Beautiful course, lush fairways, fast greens, too many bunkers! Favourable location with easy access.

“Great Course, amazing scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2010

Even though this course is a tough challenge, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I was on a boys trip and we played this course and Andersons Creek (which is pretty close to Green Gables) over a weekend (you get a deal if you play both). The course was in fantastic condition.

We all found the course challenging and boy, they must have got a deal on sand when they built this course. Don't forget your sandwedge if you're giving this course ago.

The weather couldn't have been better the day we played. The cart girls were excellent and offering beers the whole way round.

The scenery is outstanding. There are a few holes were you excellent views of the ocean.

Overall, I would highly recommend this course if you are visiting PEI to golf. All the staff very really friendly, course was excellent, views amazing and the weather cooperated.
