“Great Family Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

We stayed here for one night and wished we had booked more nights. There was easy access from Highway 400. There was an Ikea down the road, Vaughan Mills shopping centre and many more stores nearby. We loved the location.
We were able to visit the Lego Discovery Centre at Vaughan Mills, the indoor playground at Ikea, and shop at a variety of stores. We also drove about half an hour to the Ontario Science Centre.
My eight year old's favourite activity was swimming in the hotel pool. The water feature was a hit, along with the hot tub. The pool was small but there was always enough chairs and towels. The work out room looked well equipped but we did not have time to access it.
We could see Canada's Wonderland a few blocks away so if traveling with family, this is a great place to stay. The room has 2 bathrooms, one with a vanity and shower and the other with a toilet and pedestal sink. There is a sitting area with pull out sofa, desk, small fridge and microwave. The room could comfortably sleep 5 - 6 family members.
The breakfast offered included a wide variety, from pancakes, eggs and sausage to cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt and bread products. We were able to easily access breakfast before 8:30 am but by 9:30 there was a long line up for breakfast.
The elevators were slow as there are only two for the whole hotel. The stairs took us directly outside so we had to continue to walk around the hotel to get back inside, when using the stairs. There may be a more convenient staircase but we could not seem to find one.
Overall, the cleanliness, modern facility, amenities, customer service, and location would keep us coming back. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: It was very quiet so I would say any room would be a good choice.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on tripadvisor! We are glad that both you and your family had a relaxing and enjoyable experience with us. The design of some newer hotels do not give stairwell access to inside the building. We recommend that guest use the West stairwell as it is only a few feet away from the West entrance of the building. We also appreciate your feedback with regard to the elevator and have implemented a Marriott Associate to assist during busier periods to help facilitate a smoother process. Thank you so much for your business. We hope to see you and your family in the near future!

Great place for meetings. Friendly staff, great service, well planned and decorated rooms,
with seperate sitting/desk area. Despite the fact that this hotel is located close to a busy highway it was realy quiet.
Close to good restaurants.
I liked European inspired decor.

We just spent one night here. This is one of my favorite chain of hotels. We were able to check in early as our room was ready. As usual VERY clean and modern. This is a fairly new hotel. Love the free wifi and the free breakfast is great. A very large selection of food. Staff always replenishing and cleaning tables. I usually try and stay at this brand of hotels when I can. Highly recommend!!!

This looks like a newer hotel. The rooms are decorated in a contemporary theme and are absolutely beautiful. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. There is a sitting area with a hide a bed couch and a desk. There is a walk in closet with a safe.
There is a split bathroom. One bath has a nice big vanity with a roomy stand up shower. Water pressure is not the best. Towels were fluffy and big, but there were only 3 towels and we had 4 people on the reservation. The other bathroom has a small pedestal sink and a toilette. There are things I like about the split bathroom and things I do not like, but they were beautifully done.
The ladies at the front desk were nice. The hotel was full the night we stayed, but we had no problems getting a parking space or an elevator.
There were a lot of kids in the hotel - maybe a sport thing because they all knew each other. They kind of took over the entire lobby and business center the entire time we were there. We had our own laptop, but if someone did not, that would have been kind of annoying at best.
We had a few boys running up and down our hallway on the 5th floor. This is not the hotels fault. I just wish people would be respectful of other guests and not allow their children to run all over a hotel. My children stay in our room with us and if they want to roam we go with them. The breakfast area is roomy and clean. Plenty of food to eat, but no waffle maker. They kept it stocked and people seemed happy.
We stayed here to visit Canada Wonderland, and it is very convenient to the park and to many restaurants. A great place to stay. If we were to come back to this area, we would definitely stay here.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review! We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. Your feedback is important to us and we are in the process of "brainstorming" how we can manage large groups with children so they can stay occupied in the public areas without disturbing other guests. We look forward to welcoming you again in the near future!

When we first walked in we were pleased with the decor of the hotel! The staff throughout were very nice and accommodating! Told us to come by the front desk for coupons to Canada's Wonderland when we were heading out. Complimentary breakfast was satisfying and the free coffee bar was a great treat! The rooms were so funky! Loved that. The pool was a little small but it was quiet and my children had it to themselves for over an hour. There is a Walmart close by for snacks and such plus Vaughan Mills is a short drive away. The only set backs were both shower room and separate bathroom doors didn't lock, the toilet backed up too easily and the air conditioning unit was a little noisy.....but these are Things that wouldn't stop me from booking with Springhill again!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a great review! We are so happy to hear about everyone's first stay with us. As Ontario's first Marriott SpringHill Suites we take pride in Celebrating Travel Life with our guest. We are glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed a quick but enjoyable stay with us! In terms of the locks in the bathrooms, we are working with the manufacturer to replace with ones that are more user friendly. We will also have our housekeeping and maintenance look into the toilet issue to ensure that it is fixed. Thank you for your business! We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to SpringHill Suites by Marriott Toronto Vaughan in the near future!

Stayed here since we were going to be going to Canada's Wonderland a couple times and wanted a hotel that was close. This hotel is real close to a Walmart, Lowes and some eateries like Subway(good), Teriyaki Experience(meh) if you need to grab a bite or need to buy some groceries.

Anyway the rooms are newer and were nicely laid out. They had a fridge and microwave along with a separate sitting area/room. We had 2 queen beds which slept the 4 of us. The toilet is in a separate room with a sink while the shower is in another "room" with yet another sink. It was an interesting setup (different but I liked it). The doors on these rooms were sliders and frosted so you could see light but couldn't see in easily. This can be irritating if you are trying to go to sleep since there is no way to block the light from the bathroom. Minor issue.

The beds were clean but quite soft for me. I didn't sleep as well as I would have liked. Loved the built in reading lights.

The complimentary breakfast had the usual fare every day we were there. It was good enough for all of us. I ate well and can't complain.

The pool was small but my kids enjoyed it as they do with any amount of water. The hot tub was nice for my aching body.

The staff were all nice and we had a great stay. If the bed would have been better it would have gotten 5 stars. It was only a few miles from Canada's Wonderland which was perfect.

Room Tip: We were close to the elevator but noise wasn't an issue at all.

We are pleased to hear that you and your family enjoyed the hotel and Canada's Wonderland! Marriott has an excellent bedding program in place but we can always strive to do better! We have forwarded your comments to the Marriott product development team. They are always constantly looking for ways to improve the quality of sleep for all of our guests. Thank you so much for your business! We look forward to the possibility of welcoming you back in the near future!

This hotel is very nice, clean new and spacious. I totally recommend this hotel over any other hotel i ave stayed in the GTA.

also of note: friendly service and excellent complimentary breakfast. Also the gym equipment is reasonably new and still works just fine.

Only minor complaint is the elevator creaks, and the gym can use a weight machine or two.
