Our friends and hosts from New Market Ontario took us to this museum with their 2 elementary age children and our 2 teens and one elementary age child. The venue and setting is really lovely. Our family was not familiar with the Group of Seven before this experience so I can't compare this collection with another museum. However, we all learned quite a bit and enjoyed the art very much. The children were engaged and I believe that may have in part been because of cohesiveness of the art and the smallness of the space (it wan't cramped, it just didn't have that cavernous big gallery feel). We are from Chester County, PA and the museum reminded me of the Brandywine River Museum because of the setting and because the subject of the artists in the collection are both "local" landscapes. Bonus - we received reduced admission because of a museum reciprocity agreement.
