“Exceptional........Exceptional!!!! Highly recommend.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2012

My wife and I stayed during the July 1st, 2012 weekend. Our stay was exceptional as was the room, food and the fellowship. We would recommend anyone seeking peace and quiet at a bed & breakfast where the hosts are most accommodating as well as aware of your needs. They went to every effort to make us feel welcome and rested. The breakfasts would rival any found at a 5 star restaurant, not only in the quality of the ingredients, but the presentation as well. We hope to go back again some day and continue to recommend Appletown to our friends and family.

Room Tip: As a couple the room with the ensuite suited us best and the bed was very comfortable.

Spent 3 nights at this B&B. Connie and Rob aim to please and they did just that. Their home is lovely and immaculate. Our morning Breakfasts were delicious, the bed was oh so comfortable, they had movies, cable, everything we could ask for. I can't say a bad thing about our visit. Would highly recommend and we will return if our travels bring us back that way!

We came to this area as birders at the end of a 4000 mile birdwatching trip and from our arrival to our departure our stay couldn't have been any better. You immediately feel like a family member. Our hosts bent over backwards to create this warm atmosphere, e.g. knowing we are from Germany, they tuned in a German radio station in the morning.
Adding to the charm, Gunner, their little Schnautzer, is always happy to play with the guests and entertain them. A great place to be!

We are birdwatchers. This is a great place to stay. Connie and Rob are wonderful hosts. Spotlessly clean. First-class room and facilities. Hearty breakfast. Rates are competetive. Highly recommended.

We've just finished a 31 day 4,300 mile driving tour during which we stayed in B & Bs more than half the time. From the friendly, helpful innkeepers and our comfort zone to the gourmet breakfasts we would rate this as "the greatest" among those in which we stayed

Room Tip: This is located in a quite rural setting in a lush Canadian garden area

We stayed here over the Labour Day long weekend and had a wonderful time. Rob and Connie were great hosts. The B&B is extremely clean and a great location in Kingsville. The rooms were spatious and comfortable. My husband and I are not usual B&B people however when planning this trip we thought we would try it out (after reading all the great reviews) and were very pleasantly surprised. We felt comfortable and welcome. Only one room has an en-suite bathroom which was the only drawback however the top floor of the home is essentially for guests with Rob and Connie spending all of their time in the basement (which has apparently been made as a model of the upper floor). The breakfasts which Rob cooked were delicious. Eggs benedict and crepes! My sister and I enjoyed the yogurt, granola, peach compote and caprese salad! The ingrediants were fresh and the food was plentiful. Another nice touch was plenty of available popcorn, tea, coffee, etc...included in your stay.

Visiting Kingsville itself was quaint and we all took a ferry trip down to Pelee Island. All of us had a wonderful time visiting wineries in area! We enjoyed Pelee Island and cycled for most of the day there. Definitely a trip that we would recommend.

Room Tip: Would recommend the room with private bathroom.

This is a lovely place where to spend a week-end or more. The hosts are some of most pleasant and welcoming people we ever met. The conversation started flowing the moment we met, like very old and good friends. The house is well appointed, very clean and inviting; and easy to get to. Don’t forget to bring a bathing suit; the pool is really enticing. The only drawback is the fact that two of the rooms share a bathroom, but they offer bathrobes and it’s not that much of a problem.
The morning crapes were very tasty and picture perfect, served on the patio, away from the street.
