“Nothing to write home about”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Ok food, nothing stands out as great. Eggs are cooked on a high heat so you get crunchy scorched eggs. Very few home fries, average bacon. It's just ok.

I Prefer SunSet griddle in Oshawa on Taunton rd or the one in Whitby at Thickson just off the highway! Lots of food, Really great thick bacon loads of homefries, great waffles and fresh strawberries go early cause they are always lined up.

SunSet griddle is MUCH BETTER than sunrise griddle in Bowmanville.

“Working at it”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2012

This little place sits on top of Waverly hill otherwise know as Hwy 57. It is relativly new to the area and they certainly try to make the meal as best they can. That being said, they are kinda skimpy on things like home fries which are potato chunks deep fried in oil like square french fries. Especially if you order the breakfast special, you get like 8 fries, the eggs have crunchy brown on them, a big downer for me as I do not like scalded eggs. So I order the poached eggs which are not bad. They have a little more variety then Coronation, and Bowmanville restaurant, but the wait staff needs to remember that snarky and return buisness do not go together. Did mention it to the owner when we saw the waitress clear plates, take cash from customers and then used her unwashed hand to reach into the orange slices and place them on our plates. Ewww!
