“Nourishing food at good prices.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

We stopped here for a lunch. I was somewhat concerned because of the spotty reviews Glooscap had received, but one of us had eaten here with a good outcome. Our experience was fine with the food and the service, although when we arrived all the tables had dirty dishes on them that had not been cleared yet. The waitress explained that they had just a rush and were cleaning up from that. We did get a seat promptly, though, and most of the tables were cleared soon enough. Perhaps they didn't really have enough staff to keep up. Nevertheless, my chicken vegetable soup was excellent and obviously home-made and was served with a fresh roll. The other one of us ordered a hamburger that was up to her expectations.

“A long standing tradition”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant has been in existence for many years. It has your standard fast food fare and the quality is good to very good. All four of us had clams and chips, and it was a large enough serving that none of us finished it.
Service was quick, friendly and efficient. It seemed to be a popular spot for the post-church crowd.
Prices were reasonable, and it has a licensed lounge.
It also provides free Wi-Fi, which surprised me, and was a nice touch

“Nothing like being ignored!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

I took my mother and 2 children out for supper on our last day of vacation. My youngest who is 10 picked the glooscap for the restaurant. It was roughly 6pm and they were really not busy at all. When we walked on we were not able to find a clean table to accommodate the 4 of us so ended up sitting at a dirty table. We waited waited at least least 10 minutes while one waitress chatted to a couple other guests and not once did she let us know she'd be over soon. While we were waiting a couple came in and took a seat. The waitress then finished her socializing and went to the couple who had just sat down to give them menus while STILL completely ignoring us. Once she gave them their menus she proceed to go behind the bar bar and chit chat with another waitress. By this point we still have not even had our table cleaned yet let alone given a menu! After watching the waitresses socialize for 5 minutes i figured our business wasn't important. We left and the table still wasn't cleaned. we went to the Harbour view restaurant on the beach and will continue to do so any time I'm back in parrsboro because at at least there we got service! and damn good service and food too!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

We went to the Thursday wing night at the Glooscap Restaurant. The were the best I have ever tried. I don't normally eat this kind of finger food, but am glad I did. Will definitly try them again the next time .
