I travelled to magic Valley with my 2 children , my sister and her 2 children. We entered as a Family plus 1 ( because one child was 2 and admitted for free). After receiving our discounted rate of $95 for the family fee, we entered to the story book village side of the park. It is exactly as it was 20 plus years ago...EXACTLY . It is creepy , the castle smelled so bad my 2 year old held her nose for the pathetic "bunny show". The little ones were excited to go on the few rides that they had there, only to find out that 3 of the 4 were broken. On the way back towards the water area I entered the gift shop and asked to speak to a manager . An older man who I assume may have been the owner informed me that he was the manager. I enquired as to why we were not notified that 3 of the 4 rides were broken when we paid. He was very ignorant and defensive , an older lady who worked there as well came to join into the conversation. They began to make excuse after excuse when I said the lady who gave us our bracelets didn't mention it ( well she's too busy ) . I said there was no sign posted anywhere ( well sometimes signs don"t work )I proceeded to say there was no mention of it on their website that I had checked the night before ( well there website wasn't working properly). The older man began to say that when he was at Disney World some of the rides weren't working, I clearly reminded him that this was no Disney with 4 rides. The man yelled to the woman to refund my money and let me leave. She shooed him away and I told the woman that I didn't wan't to leave and ruin the day for the kids. I asked her why he was so upset and yelling at me ( as I was keeping my cool) Her reply was that "we try to get to people before he does!" Obviously this type of behavior is typical ....I can hardly imagine what those poor kids that work there have to deal with. I only wanted to express that I thought the consumer should be aware of issues like closed rides before they take our money . One couple walked in to admit the park during my conversation and overheard my concerns , they thanked me as they left (they decided not to enter)and reminded the lady that all rides at Upper Clements Park were open on the weekend. The train ride through garbage and piles of debris was delightful as we sat in a rusty train and sucked in a tremendous amont of fumes from the train. The pool was cold, and dirty, and there was so much chlorine in it , it hurt your nose to breathe. The kids did like the waterslides which was the only saving grace. There were 4 broken pedal boats. There was 1 broken bumper boat ...and the line for the bumper boats was ridiculous..as the same employee also drives the train. Our kids rode the water slides right until closing . When they shut the slides off we noticed that the water in the pool area at the bottom of the slides was green ..YUCK , you cannot notice the color of the water when the water is moving down from the slides. I have been here as a child myself and I am 33 now, I cannot see one improvement that has been made ....the grass wasn't even cut. If you do decide to waste some time and money and go here please call ahead and make sure all attractions are working . This place is a joke ...I hear that Truro is getting a waterpark in the future ....Thank goodness for that .
