“Great place for a nice dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2011

Situated at the head of Mahone Bay, the Innlet Cafe serves a terrific menu! Save room for one of their desserts! Great staff and prices are right.

“I love this restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2011

We have been to this area of Nova Scotia 3 times in the last couple of years. Each time we visit, we make it a point to dine at the Innlet Cafe. The first visit was by chance, and we were thrilled to have some German choices on the menu after having eaten seafood for the better part of 2 weeks. It was a nice change. We sat outside and enjoyed the excellent views. The service was great.

Our most recent visit was this past August with our family. We had to stop again at our favorite restaurant in the area, The Innlet Cafe. I had high expectations and I wasn't disappointed. The service was outstanding, the restaurant itself is so nice and comfortable, and once again, the food was excellent. A highlight was the variety of stirfry dishes they now offer. My vote is for the panfried scallops!

“Mussel soup!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2011

We stumbled on this place in 1997 and were very pleasantly surprised. Although the restaurant has apparently changed hands, the mussel soup is still great. Because of the change of ownership, the new license for wine and beer hadn't yet come through as of Sept. 5, 2011, so no wine with our dinner. There's an outdoor terrace overlooking Mahone Bay, and most of the dining room tables also have that view.

“A decent lunch but prepare to wait”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2011

Lunch choice here was the haddock chowder and lobster salad sandwich. The lobster was not available, so we ordered the scallop burger. The chowder was good, but on the salty side. The scallop burger was great. Unfortunately, the service was too slow and the diner was far too warm. I would probably go again if I could eat outside.
