We were very happy with our stay at the Evangeline Motel. Room was clean, spacious, and our late arrival was accommodated well. The room had a hard-wired Ethernet connection with the longest cable we had ever seen, which made it feasible to use the Internet from anywhere in the room or even on the porch. We also greatly enjoyed breakfast at the cafe. Great pie!

Just out of Wolfville (pronounced 'woofille') as in woof woof apparently. Its a motel not a 5* establishment.but its raised up with tables and sun chairs on the grass to enjoy the views. Close to Grand Pre historic site and 3 km frothe beach. I stayed here for 3 days and have returned for one night before going to halifax. Very nice welcome and assistance from reception staff, largerooms, not expensive, and an indoor pool they forget to mention. Large rooms, clean and everything works.
Restaurant is below the motel. Food sems good, its certainly very busy at times and everyone within 100 miles has recommended their pies. Good service.

Room Tip: Look at what is available. I is above the road so very little noise there.

I stopped by the Evangeline restaurant with my girlfriend last summer based on many recommendations. We both had milkshakes and a small meal, all of which was delightful. Mid-May 2012, I stopped by again hoping the restaurant would be open for the season and I was not disappointed. The special that night was a lobster club sandwich which came with a small side (I chose ceasar) salad which I ordered along with a strawberry milkshake. The shake came in the old fashioned glass with the leftovers on the side in the frosty metal cup. A few of the strawberry chunks clogged my straw - it was delicious! The lobster sandwich was fresh and very tasty. The portions are normal and the prices are reasonable. A restaurant the locals love is usually a good bet for travelers. Next time I will skip the shake to make room for dessert...maybe.

Room Tip: I did not stay in the hotel, but the grounds are lovely as is the view in this beautiful area.

I live close to this restaurant and have been eating there for a number of years. They have great food. Salads, sandwiches, all delicious. The fish chowder, with fresh made scones, is to die for. The desserts are spectacular. Pies made daily on site. Service and prices are tops. It's one of those spots you take guests from afar to.
My only disappointment is that it is not open year round.

A very clean, friendly restaurant that does an outstanding job of offering sandwiches, soups and light lunches plus utterly delicious fruit pies and other deserts.
Milk shakes are to die for!
Closes early should be there by 6pm for dinner.
This restaurant closes for the winter but is very popular with locals and tourists alike.

^ All of us all got something diff. from the menu and all 6 of us were very disappointed. The meals were room temperature. My ham was warmed over from last winter and was the size of a toonie. Not to mention it was that tough I couldn't chew it. Soup was too salty and all broth. We travel that way several times a year and we are sure we'll be stopping else where from now on for a meal..I am wondering for a family run rest. if they would feed their family such food?
