Travelling around on Cape Breton Island I had actually just stopped in Mabou for lunch at the Red Shoes Pub. Well, to cut a long story short: Only god knows why, but at night time I was walking through the Pubs door the third time … and I met somebody there whose name is Isaac! … A really open-minded, positive, bright and candy person… and an excellent dancer.
Together with Isaac and his great Canadian guests Marilyn, Melissa and Herman I spent an (what I would definitely call) unforgettable night with lots of laughter, dancing and wine. Luckily I got the chance to stay at Isaac’s farm that night.
Clayton farm B & B in every way reflects the lifestyle and the attitude of his owner. It’s not only a nice accommodation. It’s one of those rare magic, special places; it’s a place to remember! And it’s definitely a place to come back to.
By the way, don’t forget to walk in your red shoes. Before getting one of the charming rooms upstairs to stay, you have to do a step dance on the kitchen floor first - reviewed by Chipy. Just kidding….
