“Got Coffee?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Baddeck is not known for it's coffee, being more of a tea kind of town. But if you must have Arabica beans, prefer shade grown, and wish it were organic fair trade -- head on into the cozy haven of Bean There. No other place in Baddeck gets even close.

“Excellent coffee!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

The only decent cappuchino we could find in Baddeck! Nice small cafe with a very "homey" feel to it. Many of the customers seemed to be regular locals...always a good sign. The cakes were delicious and the soup cooking on the stove smelled marvellous although we didn't actually try it.

“Great little cafe!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

Really enjoyed the coffee and BLT bagels! The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. Cozy atmosphere, homemade food, definitely a local favourite. Much better than the 'normal' big chains.

“Great Coffee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Well, the coffee was excellent, the food also excellent. However, it was very busy and service was very, very slow. I felt they were understaffed for Saturday morning. There was only one young woman doing all the coffee prep and food prep.

“Place kept us alive...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

My title is a bit of an exaggeration but when you need a coffee, tea or snack its a great place. If you like we are, and you are traveling through and staying a local inn or B&B you get a bit off schedule with meals so an easy pit stop place is really appreciated. Staff got a bit "scattered" on the day we were there and it was real busy (first day of a sailing regatta I guess). Seemed to not be used to making ice coffee but we got are coffees and an excellent scone even with the line out the door.
