Having read the reviews for this year we thought it only fair to try and think of one negative comment or,failing that,at least one aspect of the praise heaped on this B&B that could be said to be an exaggeration.Neither my wife nor I after our two night stay were able to conjure up anything other than echo the praise already recorded. Fellow residents were of like sentiment whether or not they stayed at the Artisan or the related Campbell House.Consequently we can only envy those who follow and again thank our hostess for providing us with such a memorable experience. She and her staff went out of their way to ensure that not only were we well housed and fed but that we were exposed to fine entertainment via Risingtide Theatre and island history through Bruce Millars unforgetable boat tour.

There are many reviews on trip advisor that talk about muffins or beds or food, but what I what to write about is heart. Last week we spent some time at the Artisan Inn in Trinity and what we found was much more than accommodation. Tineke Gow (the owner) has been welcoming visitor’s from around the world here for 16 years and she still is happy to greet new customers as if you were the first one all those years ago. If you want the personal touch this is the place for you; from advice for walks and boat trips to conversations over dinner, she and her staff are there for you. If you do want more privacy, not a problem as each location is well suited away from the main dining room. As someone who has stayed in many hotels all over the world I can assure you this is genuine. Other special things of note; there is an artist in residence who displays her work on the walls of the Twine Loft and a wonderful trail through the raspberry patch. Being here is like a visit to a family cottage. The place might not be for everyone (those with an attitude and their nose in the air- have other places to stay near by) but decompressing on the dock right on the water is a slice of Newfoundland heaven. Thanks. One note about the food; it is terrific (light and fresh) and very reasonably priced.

I recently stayed at the Artisan Inn with 5 others. It was great to have the place to ourselves. We had access to a kitchen and the Twine Loft was great to have nearby. Breakfast was awesome everyday. We had fresh baked scones and muffins just to start. Fruit and yogurt and a hot breakfast was all great. Dinner at Twine Loft is not to be missed. Gourmet dining without having to go more than a few steps. Trinity is a beautiful town. We spent three nights there and wished we could have stayed longer. You won't regret staying at the Artisan Inn.

I loved the Artisan Inn. Tineke Gow, the owner, was wonderful, the room was spacious and very comfortable and the town of Trinity is a must-see.

If you are going to the Trinity area, be sure to stay at one of Tineke's properties. She also has the Campbell House and self-catering accommodations.

Right from the moment we arrived we were made welcome by our delightful host, Tineke Gow, and whenever we saw her after that she made time to stop and chat. Trinity itself is a charming village and this Inn is definitely the place to stay.
Tea and coffee making faclities are available 24 hours which is a great bonus, and there is plenty of parking space.
When I booked, Tineke had told me about the Twine Loft, her restaurant attached to the Inn, and so I had made a reservation for dinner at the time of booking the room. Good thing I did as she was totally full and turning people away. The restaurant is very, very good; it is a set meal, ie. no choices, but nevertheless very well presented and served with several courses all beautifully cooked. The wine list is small but select and has some interesting choices, and the house wine is very drinkable too.
Breakfast was delicious and we were quite sorry we had only stayed one night - definitely a place to go back to.
