“Stay here! Do not stay anywhere else in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2008

Excellent stay in a beautiful home that is neat and tidy. We had a King sized bed with a private washroom. It was simply the best place to stay! Make sure to call ahead to ensure availability!

The family was warm and welcoming. A HOT, amazing breakfast was served in the morning. When the late night tea craving hit, there was hot chocolate, teas, coffee and cookies in the guest sitting room.

I would highly recommend a stay here as you are welcomed into the home, and do not feel like an outsider.

Thank you again for an amazing stay.

By mistake, I wrote a review of Wild Flowers Counry Inn/B&B in Rocky Harbour under the Candlelight B&B heading.

The place I stayed in and absolutely loved was the Wild Flowers Country Inn. It is extremely clean, very comfortable, very nicely appointed, good sized rooms and the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. I highly recommend this B&B - you won't be disappointed. We also ate at Jackie's and enjoyed their seafood, and had a wonderful meal at Java Jack's. Wild Flowers and the 2 restaurants all have fantastic ocean views.

This is a lovely B&B with an ocean view. Rooms are nicely appointed, extremely clean and the full breakfast was delicious. It is very comfortable and quiet, and there are good restaurants within walking distance (Java Joe's - excellent!) You will not be disappointed here!

Our stay at the Wild Flowers B&B was one of the highlights of our trip to Newfoundland. The owners have taken great care in furnishing this lovely property. Their attention also shows in the breakfast served to their guests, and even in the gardens surrounding the main house and cabin. It goes without saying that everything is spotlessly clean. Good restaurants are within walking distance. Rocky Harbor is surrounded by the splendours of Gros Morne National Park. Excellent whale-watching and fiord cruises are available.

Staying at this B & B will spoil you for others. The rooms are amazing, done up well, very nice furnishings, comfortable bed and private bathrooms. There is a guest sitting room on the second floor, with a view of the ocean and it has coffee, tea, water and ice always available for guests.
For breakfast, you get a choice of items given to you when you book in and you choose your breakfast, indicate roughly what time you'll have breakfast and then start your day off the next morning with a great meal. Everything, including the jams, are homemade.

Wildflowers Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful, peaceful property. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious and just lovely in every way. We had the room with the king size bed, which was very comfortable. Our room even had it's own sitting room ! I glanced into the other rooms down the hall, which had queen size beds, and they seems equally spacious and comfortable. The only thing was the shower stalls may be a little small for larger people. I am 5 ft 6 and 150 lbs, and I was fine, but someone a lot larger might have difficulty. Lerley, the hostess was very helpful, and even remembered at our second breakfast that I take milk, instead of cream in my tea, and made sure I got it. She was very thoughtful ! I would recommend Wildflowers to anyone. The cost is very reasonable, too.

Was originally booked here for 1 night. Enjoyed it so much, we changed all our plans and stayed another night. We booked a room with queen bed and private bathroom, both of which came with individual temperature control. The innkeepers, Lerley and Rod, have thought of many details you don't expect at a B&B: hair dryer in the bathroom, a guest fridge with little tupperware containers of ice in the freezer, to take to your room, a thermos of hot water in the guest sitting room to make your own tea, sample menus in the sitting room, from many local restaurants to help choose where to eat, large quantities of all bathroom amenities including conditioner and hand lotion. Breakfasts are healthful and of moderate size - this is not a place well-suited for piling on the pounds. The bed is divinely comfortable, especially if you've been doing a lot of hiking and/or driving. The home is peaceful and restful, and the worst part is having to leave! They're at ...
