On the recommendations of Garry of Captain Blackmore's B&B where we were staying we made reservations for 5-30pm on Wednesday August 15,2012. We had a wonderful table with ocean view with only 3 other tables occupied at the time. It appears they have two sittings at 5-30pm & 7-30pm. It is a fixed 5 course menu, plus coffe/tea, which apparently changes each day.
From what we could see every table gets served at the same time. That night the main dish was Arctic Char with pork tenderloin as an alternate. My wife & I both had the Char which was excellent. The waitresses were very pleasant but the one comment to make about the service which was apparent to us at many restaurants across Newfoundland, except St.Johns, was that they take the order, serve the meal and pick up the empty dishes. At no time were we ever asked DURING the meal if everything was ok. It was otherwise very fine dining.
