Puffin's Landing was recommended to us by RJ Tours in St. John's and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Newfoundland and the Maritimes. Our one night stay in Bonafista turned into 3 nights because of the wonderful people we met at Puffin's Landing and their above and beyond hospitality. Maureen and Keith were great hosts, Keith's brother Eric (The "Puffin Man") was a great tour guide and advisor. Even Fred, the neighbor, went to the extent of cooking us a homemade cod dinner our last night there. The accomadations were great, breakfasts were wonderful, and the hospitality could only be said to be "True Newfoundland", which as we had been told goes to another level. Eric took us on a 4 1/2 hour trip out on the cliffs where the puffins nest, one of the most spectacular events of our whole trip. The help with planning and choosing where to go with the time we had helped us to make the most of our Newfoundland visit. Eric even made arrangemants with the Mayor of Bonavista one day and she provided the 3 couples staying at Puffin's a personally guided tour of the "Matthew", John Cabot's boat that sits in Bonavista, the building was closed for the season. We were even invited out for coffee with Eric and his wife at the local cafe and felt part of the community before we left. We will definetly return to Bonavista and will be staying at Puffin's Landing.
Once again, with gratitude and thanks,
