Try to sit on the deck overlooking a beautiful view of the water. Food is very good and service is excellent.

“Great time for a local!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

My wife works until about 7 on Friday nights, and didn't want to cook at home, so suggested the Lighthouse. The meal she chose was perfect. Fish was a massive serving, and the French Fries are home cut, not extruded goo with all the starch removed, like the fast food outfits and large food service companies supply. Then, the bonus to the night, an Irish band, with a definete degree of professionalism started. Well,,,,,? They were superb, and very entertaining. Previous to this, on weekends can be a DJ playing whatever or a decent band, but not to everyone's liking. We stayed through 2 sets of the band, as did most of the patrons. It was a great surprise Friday night for us in Sechelt. Add to this, the view, and there is no place on the planet like that!

With a view of the inlet it is a good place to enjoy a meal. We did lunch which was good and reasonable. I would recommend i for wither a relaxing or quick meal but hang around for the views.

“Food ok but what was wrong with the kitchen?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

My daughter had eaten here before on a previous visit to Sechelt and she had enjoyed it a lot. The day we arrived in Sechelt, we tried to go there for lunch but the hostess told us it would be at least a 45 min wait for lunch. We had 2 children with us so we could only eat in a designated area of the pub. We were too hungry for this so decided to try it later in our visit. Our last evening in the area, we decided to try again. The hostess told us it would be about a 25 min wait but we figured that would be ok. We ordered and we waited. The waitress said the kitchen was 'very busy' when we asked where our dinners were - and we ended up waiting at least an hour. The food was fine - but holy moly, an hour? That was just plain ridiculous. Everyone around us had kids (we were in the family section) and no one got their dinners in a reasonable time. The view was nice, our waitress was doing her best, the food was ok, but I doubt I'd go again. I really think it wouldn't have hurt for the manager to have shown his/her face and apologized for this.
