“Sechelt Inlet water play ground.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Pedals @ Paddles is a kayak rental outfit. They specialize in trips on Sechelt Inlet, a large body of water surrounded by steep mountains, waterfalls and trees waving their crown at the sky above. Lauri and Dave, who both manage this location are wonderful people you should get to now. They do day paddles, evening paddles 2-3 day paddles with stay-over at the many marine parks dotted along both shores. You can explore Salmon Inlet, Narrows Inlet and marvel at the scenery and beauty of this land. Both Lauri and Dave are excellent hosts. After one of our evening paddles there were plates heaped with fresh seafood and other delicacies. We sat around the table enjoying the sun set, talking kayakers talk and sipping ice cold wine(byob). I participated in a 3 day kayak trip into Hotham Sound. The weather was not the best but both Dave and Lauri and my friend Ian made this trip very memorable. Highly recommended for your next trip.

“A must do while in Sechelt!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

We just returned from a 2 hour guided kayak tour. None of us (my wife and 14 year old son) had any previous experience and were a bit trepidatious about this adventure. Dave (our guide) made us feel very comfortable, provided excellent instruction and led us on a two hour tour.

We saw a bald eagle, seals and various marine life along the way. The best part was that we now feel comfortable enough to go out and rent kayaks on our own.

If you are looking for something fun and inexpensive to do in Sechelt this is highly recommended!

“Great Kayak Adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

My friend and I had limited kayak experience, and Dave was great at teaching us the strokes! We had a fantastic time kayaking around the bay, and visiting a local beach. We saw several seals, and many fish.
Dave was really friendly, patient, outgoing and entertaining, basically everything we would want in a guide. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed.
Looking forward to coming back for our next adventure! Highly recommended!

“A trifecta of a positive experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

We enjoyed a fantastic experience at Pedals and Paddles - a trifecta;
The location is incredible, the operators (Laurie and team) are amazing and the equipment was fantastic. We liked it so much we returned 3 times during the week we stayed in Sechelt. We enjoyed the opportunity to take our 6 year old son on the SUP paddleboard and kayak. Each were first time experiences for him (and loved it).
The location is perfect: warmer and calmer ocean.
Laure was so helpful and attentive.
We highly recommend visiting Pedals and Paddles and we will return the next time we are on the Sunshine Coast!

“The perfect kayak / paddleboard rental place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

If I were a kayak and paddleboard rental operator, I'd want to be Laurie at Pedals and Paddles. It's hard to imagine a more perfect experience. The location is great, the bay is calm and interesting to paddle around in, and the gear is quality and well kept.

And the staff are the most friendly people you will ever meet. It is clear they are much more interested in your having a great time than in your dollars-and-cents value. It's wonderful that there are still people in the world like Laurie, Kyle and Eugenie.

If you are anywhere close to Sechelt and want to try kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding, this is the perfect spot and the perfect company.
