“Perfect anniversary spot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to get the whole building to ourselves for our second anniversary, and I cannot say enough about the experience. We stayed in the India gate room, a cozy little enclave with a stunning ocean view from every (large) window. There's easy access to the hot tub from which you get a great view of Nanaimo and the trail islands. The main area of the building has a wonderful living room to pass the time in, with a large fireplace and floor to ceiling windows that you'll want to stare out of for hours. We had this area to ourselves, but there was more than enough room for other B&B'ers who are feeling social. There are binoculars provided and even a telescope for those clear evenings. The building is steps away from a nice little beach, a bit rocky but great for a stroll. And of course, the breakfast was phenomenal, with a bit of variety each day that we were there and more than enough food to get our fill. Do yourself a favour and get a spa package, Brenda's massages were the perfect compliment to our stay. David and Brenda are great hosts with more B&B experience than most, and they really made our anniversary a special one. Highly recommended!

This place is terrific! After a superior massage in the afternoon with Brenda, I napped to the sound of waves lapping right outside the window. Bliss. And the morning breakfast, cooked and served by Dave, was first class. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We stayed in the India Suite. It has deck access and is right over the water.

Stayed here for 3 nights in the Spa rooms which has the most amazing ocean view! The room is well laid out with the bed and a spa tub both facing towards the ocean. There is also a private balcony. Keeping the sliding door open allows you to hear the ocean waves roll into the rocky shoreline below. The house is magnificent with a large dining room, and living room again boasting fabulous views of the ocean and Vancouver Island in the distance. The wrap around deck also has a hot tub. Our hosts, David and Brenda were very hospitable and their dog Kashie will at times roam around and visit. David cooked the most amazing breakfasts. We indulged in fresh baked muffins, oven baked pancakes, waffles, a egg and ham dish, fresh fruit, coffee and juice during our stay. This B&B is a great place for some restful relaxation.

We had a marvellous time when we stayed here for the weekend. Our suite, the India Gate, was roomy, comfortable and very well appointed. The view was outstanding, opening the blinds lets in a stunning outlook, the shore is right beneath the window. In the evening you can see the lights of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. In the common area, there is a telescope for enjoying the view up close.
There is a great deck all around the property, with a hot tub.
The bed was really comfortable. Even the fold out bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was great, lots of hot water with good waterpressure.
Our host was very welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend the massages. The breakfasts are outstanding. Delicious in every respect. There were different hot foods each day, as well as fruit salad and baked goods.
A wonderful stay in every way. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the water.

Absolutely amazing. The host was so friendly and a very good cook! He served us the most amazing oven-baked French Toast that was to die for. My boyfriend and I very much enjoyed taking a dip in the balcony hot-tub. The view of the beach was stunning. We have been on a few weekend holidays and this was by far our favorite. This is the perfect trip if you're looking to just relax, unwind, and have a nice quiet holiday. Highly recommend it!

What a fantastic time we had here. I stayed in the "India Gate" room with my wife and infant daughter and it was absolutely perfect. The house is stunning and perched right on the water's edge. We could hear the waves at night from the hot tub. An amazing in the morning with great coffee. The hosts, David and Brenda, were very kind and welcoming. This B&B is a wonderful getaway on the sunshine coast, I can highly recommend it.

Room Tip: The "India Gate" suite has it's own entrance from the deck. It's right by the hot...
