“Ocean side retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

My wife and I travel up to the tip of Vancouver Island and love to find b and b's that are situated on the ocean. Whales, cruise ships and sea lions abound just in front of this little gem. A full breakfast of your choice is served when you like in the morning and then you can walk the beaches and photograph eagles, bears or collect beach glass, cheers.

Room Tip: All the rooms face the ocean on the back on the bottom and all are great to just sit on the deck or...

We stayed with Karen and Chris for 2 nights before and after a whale watching trip and totally enjoyed the stay. Breakfast was great, rooms very clean and neat and great location. We would highly recommend to anyone.

This is where we always stay in Port McNeill. You won't find a more idyllic setting or a friendlier place. All rooms face the beach, are fully self contained and impeccably clean. Breakfast is great and it's always a great time hearing what's new and what's happening out on the water from Karen and Chris.

We loved this B&B. Karen and Chris were lovely and looked after us well. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfasts were very tasty and well prepared by Karen. I have never stayed anywhere with such a good view to wake up to. Port Mcneill itself isn't anything to shout about but this B&B was great.

This B&B is, as the name suggests, in a brilliant location 'right at the waters edge' which provides for excellent views over towards Malcolm Island and Cormorant Island. The ferry to both islands is about a minute from the B&B and both are worth a visit.

The rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed and breakfasts are eaten round a large table which makes for excellent conversation between guests.

We stayed for 3 nights at this super b and b on our recent visit to Port McNeill. A very good choice of accommodation! Karen and Chris are great hosts, the breakfasts are superb and very well presented, whilst Chris provides very amusing tales of Canadian life! The rooms are clinically clean and well serviced and enjoy lovely views of the bay. Karen and Chris (and Megan) were very friendly and informative and made us feel very welcome. A great place to stay.

We stayed at At water's edge for 3 nights and it was great! The view is so nice. The room (the one we had is called Eagles nest) was perfect and so was breakfast. If you love nature and tranquility this is the place to be.
Karen and Chris you rock :-)
