This cabin is set in a beautiful location in Hyde Bay, it is tranquil with views from the front porch the snow topped Olympic mountains behind Malcolm island. The cabin itself is very spacious comprising 2 bedrooms both with queen size beds, a large kitchen diner (table 4 chairs) and a lounge area with satellite tv ( for those that are interested). Facilities also include cooker, microwave, , coffee maker, kettle, dishwasher plus fridge freezer and a washing machine and separate tumble drier, which were very good. Outside there is a sun deck at the rear with camping chairs and a front porch again with camping chairs and a gas barbecue. Val(Valley) the owner is very nice and explains everything on your arrival. Could be improved with a better sofa and or comfortable chairs, and the bedrooms a little bigger so you had access from 2 sides.Saw numerous Black Bears and went Orca watching excellent and also saw Humpbacks on the same trip, recommend Mackays. Did Grizzly viewing from Telegraph Bay, saw 5 this time, Tide Rip recommended for this activity. Alert Bay interesting but make sure that the Big House is open otherwise might be a wasted journey.
