“Great Location, Great Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013

This resort is right at the base of the mountain. It is a great location - virtually all buildings are within a few hundred feet of the lift.

The room was clean and comfortable. Enough room to spread out and get comfortable. The building was in better condition than what you would expect from a ski resort property.

You have to purchase WiFi, but the signal was good in my room. There was plenty of underground parking - a must in a ski resort!

Very nice resort, lots of amenities to keep the family busy, even during the off season. When my wife and went (October), the golf course was closed for the winter and the ski hill was not yet open, but hiking was available, a couple of restaurants were open, a couple of retail shops were open as well. The staff were extremely friendly!!! If you are looking for some relaxing, quiet time and some fresh air this is the place and the time of year!

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your time at the resort. The golf course typically closes in early October but closed a little early this year in order to begin construction on a new state of the art clubhouse. They also did a bunch of work on the golf course including re-pave many of the cart paths. If you're back next year in early October the course will be better than ever!

This was our second visit to Panorama during the summer. This time the grandchildren came along and we had a blast. Lots to do together! The apartment we got was well designed, but the carpet is CRYING out loud to be replaced. Furniture has also seen better days. Pools were nice and clean, lots of other activities around.

Thanks for the review. Sounds like you really enjoyed your stay. We've actually replaced a lot of the carpets in rooms throughout the resort, but there are still a few that need to get done. Thanks again.

We came here with 3 other couples to do some golfing and some togetherness. The company was great the place was great, there were 3 bedrooms, and a pull out couch in the living room. Even with 8 people it was still reasonable to get around, there were 2 balconies, big living room, the table fit us all. All in all it was lovely. The Kitchen was well set up for us to make dinner, and there was a really high quality group bbq just outside of the door that could be used (and was), no line ups or anything, it was all very civilized.

The hot tub for the complex seemed like a bit of an afterthought, very clinical, and small (12 people?) And the water was foamy which was sort of gross, that being said we have a hot tub at home, so we are pretty picky, everyone else was satisfied with their hot tub experience.

There are several close golf courses so that was awesome, and there seemed to be a lot of child and biking activities going on up on the hill, there is also a bigger swim complex on the hill that we didn't visit that seemed fun.

was mildly disappointed with the food selection on the hill, the tbar and a little café, the other restaurant wasn't open for lunch or breakfast, and we had an hour wait (didn't make a reso) for dinner.

The condo was clean, beautiful view and reasonable to get to would def recommend for a family or group of friends. I do miss having room service for breakfast though.

(have also stayed here in the winter and would give it a 5 star review btw)

In the winter it may be right there by the sky slopes but in the summer way to far from city. Rooms are pretty small and appliances are small to ...I guess normal for Canada. Internet cost you more that Delta is offering at 33000 ft. At $200 per night is kind of expensive but I compare with USA so I might be wrong. No I would not go back there again ever.

Sorry to hear that you feel we're too far away. We think it's a plus to be far away from the city, but everyone is different. Sorry we didn't meet your expectations, but for those who want to get away from city life and enjoy mountain scenery at it's best, there's no better place than Panorama!

This was an excellent place for our family with pre-teens to spend 4 wonderful days. The entire property, inlcluding our room in Tamarack Lodge was very, very clean and well-maintained. A very pleasant drive from Calgary. It got warm in the room during the day and took some time to cool down after we returned from our daily activities. The ceiling fan in the BR was helpful.

Room Tip: Upper floors may be the least noisy and have the best views.

Front staff are very rude, we had a mouse in our room that was detected in the sofa bed. We guided the maintenance people to where the mouse had run to behind the fridge where a big hole in the wall is found. The mouse was caught in a trap. Next day we saw another mouse in the room, and simply the maintenance people told us it is because it is the mountain area. It seemed to us that they were not surprised by the fact that there were 2 mice found in the room as if it is a normal thing since we chose to visit a mountain resort. Horrible resort and should be closed by health authorities for health reasons.

We tried to work with you to rectify the situation at the time, including moving rooms, but assistance was refused. I can assure you that this was a rare occurrence and our maintenance department has addressed the situation.
