“Quite impressed....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

We had no expectations after driving all day and were looking for something good, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of food we were served, and all was fresh and very realistically priced.
We would recommend this place to anyone who wants to break the chain restaurant food houses.
Good service as well.... Though they could have had a bit of music playing in the background.

“Good Food, a Little Pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

I have seen mixed reviews of this restaurant. We were there just before noon on Sunday and did not have an unreasonably long wait. I had a salad that was the special of the day which was a green salad with mandarin oranges, blueberries, candied pecans which was very good, especially as it came in a wonderful salad shell. My husband had a very good club sandwich which was made with chicken rather than ham. I also had a cup of tea. Glancing over the Russian food offered, it looked very good but was somewhat pricey. However, we found most food in Canada more expensive than in the U.S.

“OVERPRICED GOOD FOOD EXTREMELY LONG WAIT FOR FOOD”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2014

$75.00 for lunch for two (included tea and iced tea) Not including tip. Waited over an hour for food. Finally ordered $7 piece of pie for daughter who was very hungry. Food was good but WAY overpriced. Skip this place and save yourself some time and money.

“Very good food and great staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

Was very pleased with our meals at this restaurant. We just happened to pull in from the highway with no expectations other than we were starved! We had dumplings, onion rings and lasagna. Decided that whoever the chef was he really enjoyed his work and took pride in the presentation and flavor of the food. Will definitely stop again if we're back that way.

“Decent hearty food, try the lemon pie”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2014

Three big perogy things served with hot clarified butter, sour cream and fresh side salad - mmmm, good - $18. Enjoyed this more than the mixed Russian dinner plate my husband had for $23. Shared a piece of home made lemon meringue pie for only $6 - absolutely fresh and delicious. Entrees bit pricey but dessert was a good price especially for the quality. Table service from a young woman was excellent, and the food came out of the kitchen very promptly. Atmosphere is dated but clean and comfortable. The patio was open but we didn't see it as opted to sit inside. Lots of parking, right off the highway before the Grand Forks bridge across from Johnny's Motel. BTW, if you stay at Johnny's they have a 10% off food coupon for you to use at Omega which as pleasantly honoured when we presented it.
