“Never again!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013 via mobile

Had been here a couple times before, food was hit and miss. Haven't been back for sometime because of that then decided to try it again. BIG mistake, rice was very under cooked and waitress said that the cook told her it was because it was new rice and that's how it is! Really? Then ordered a medium rare steak and received well done. Could the cook not see that he had way over cooked it? All in all service was wonderful just think maybe they should be looking for new cook. And to make it clear I was not the only person experiencing a bad meal at the time, there was a couple unhappy tables!

“Good food at a reasonable rate”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

During our annual road trip through BC we always stop in Grand Forks to eat... have been doing this for many years, and we always look forward to seeing one of our favourite waitresses. If we hear her unique voice when we walk in it makes our day,
We usually have dinner and breakfast here, and have never had a bad meal. It is on the eastern end of the city, so if driving though from the west, be ready to make a left just after the bridge.
The menu has a wide range of options and we have tried foods from different countries that we might not see otherwise. We find the staff attentive and friendly, and appreciate the cool, quiet atmosphere. The prices are about the same as other places we visit along our trip so I'd say it is a good bargain considering the lovely presentation, flavour and price.

“Hit and Miss”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

The Omega can be good, but often is merely passable. If they would only put up a flag on the days when their food is going to be better than passable, we'd return.

“Apolo Chicken to die for...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Four of us dined for a very reasonable amount and everyone enjoyed their meal. The presentation of each plate was excellent for a small town restaurant. The flavors of the Apolo chicken and the quarter chicken special were excellent. The vegetables were perfectly done and the salad crisp with a tasty house dressing. The restaurant was moderately busy when we arrived, but the service was excellent. The chef in the kitchen certainly knows his/her timing as all the meals arrived together and everything was too hot to eat initially. Not a complaint we often have with restaurant food. We had breakfast at the restaurant too. It was equally good as the dinner meals. In all cases the portions were very generous. All in all it was a pleasant surprise for a small town restaurant. We will stop again when we pass through Grand Forks.

“Russian choices at the Greek restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

My first time having Russian food and it was delicious! I had a sample plate with salad, borscht and Goluptsi (spelling?), a Russian cabbage roll. Very tasty! My husband had the pasta special which came with bread, a roasted Russian garlic (yum!), a fantastic salad complete with pickled pepper, and a huge, yummy lasagna. Staff was friendly and service was quick.
