“Super clean and quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

My wife and I were impressed with this motel. Everything was both inside and out well maintained and kept up to date. Good central location for walking and great restaurant on premises. Staff upbeat and helpful. The price is right on the mark.

Had driven past the Cariboo Lodge many times but never needed to stop. This trip it was getting dark so we decided to pull over and stay for the night. We were very happy with everything from the front desk to breakfast the next morning. Nice big room, clean and quiet. Highly recommend this property.

We arrived at this hotel during our tour of Canada, a nice and cozy hotel, bar and restaurant.
what fun is that the hotel is not attached to the main building but behind it, completely separate so you don't suffer from the road, restaurant or bar noise, service and food are very good.
all employees of the hotel that we have experienced are very well matched and very friendly.

It is definitely a hotel that I can recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with airco.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

Arrived on Saturday afternoon, checked in and went to view the Chasm which is not far from here. We returned to find our room had cooled off nicely after we turned on the air conditioner. Rooms were clean and well stocked with towels and other small amenities for the traveler - they have a blow dryer, extra shampoo, a mending kit and a few other little things. (There is even a special cloth left for bikers to use to clean their bikes with.) There was one small thing though - when I was checking in, there was a complaint from the kitchen/dining area that the potatoes in the soup were raw, and the soup was cold. Interestingly enough though - later on when we had dinner there, the potatoes were still on the raw side even though the soup was hot.
It was a quiet, restful night and we had a good sleep. The problem came the next morning when a family with children awoke and the kids started running around and yelling loudly as kids do. Not everyone appreciates being woken up at 7am to the sounds of loud unruly children. This facility also allows dogs, which is great, but again not everyone wants to hear your dog barking at 3 am.
In the end, the rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable. The food was good, but pricey for what we got. Would not eat here if I stayed here again, but would stay here.

Stayed for 1 night at the end of July on our way to Vancouver and had a wonderful time. Rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean. Food was fabulous and the staff excellent. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if passing through on our next visit to Canada.

Hotel was full and it was still quiet. Lovely clean and comfortable rooms. Good value for room. Food was excellent, if a little pricey. Restaurant service was friendly but less than professional.Outside maintenance was impeccable.

On our way from jasper to Whistler we decided to take a break and stay for a night at Cliton. This recommendation was made to me by one of the advisor at Tripadvisor. I think it was a decision made in the right direction. The drive from Jasper to Whistler is too long and with the stops that we make on way it is not worth it. We reached here in late afternoon and had a very peaceful evening at this resort.

The people here are very good and very helpful. The lady at the reception was very sweet. We drove to the lake nearby and did some shopping as well. Highly recommended for a night.
