“World Famous viewing spot.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

This is a world famous spot for watching the fall salmon run. Busloads of people, so it pays to time your visit carefully if you want to avoid the crowds. Lots of food vendors. Good walking trails.

“Not to be missed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2012

Starting late summer, different varieties of salmon return to the Adam's River to complete their life cycle. The last big Sockeye run was in 2010 with another bigger than average run in 2011. Expect to see salmon every year but there won't be another big run now until 2014. The sockeye start to come in September (still great weather in the Shuswap as a rule without the usual number of tourists and sometimes stifling heat). There is a lot to do in the area, great places to stay and play.

Any year is worthwhile, but the big runs occur every 4th year. Ver well organised (directions, parking, trails and viewing platforms, vendors). A must see!!!
