“Relax in paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2010

We stayed at the Ainsworth Motel for 3 nights and loved our stay. The owners provide a convivial atmosphere and they are very conscientious. In fact, after every shower, they would come outside and wipe down all the chairs and tables. They were also very helpful with area information and history.

You are no more than a couple minutes away from the Aisnworth Hot Springs -- odourless and HOT! Very restful.

The rooms are neat and clean. The kitchenette is small but new, clean and useful. There is also a good quality, free gas barbeque that's available to all guests.

The beds were really comfortable, too.

The rooms are light housekeeping so no one comes in to make your bed, but that's a small price to pay for the beauty and serenity of the surroundings. It was a wonderful thing to sit on the deck in the evening with a cold glass of wine and watch the birds fly over the lake.

Every year we are so sad to leave, but look forward to the return!! Glen and Elaine are the most amazing hosts, to easily the most amazing place on earth! The property is by far the cleanest and well maintained that we have ever stayed at. It was a nice touch to have the rags and bucket ready for our arrival to clean our motorcycles, even though it was the last thing I wanted to do...lol. The view from the front lawn overlooking Kootney Lake is always breathtaking. The visits from the local wildlife is always a real treat.
The area highways are #1 for motorcycling as well the scenery is world class.
This should definitely be a must on anyones bucket list.

We reserved at the Ainsworth Motel sight unseen based on tripadvisor reviews which highlighted the friendly, professional proprietors; the overall cleanliness, especially in the rooms; and the quality of the beds. We certainly were not disappointed. Glen and Elaine were also helpful in suggesting fun activities beyond the hot springs.

Breathtaking view of lake. Clean rooms. We used the BBQ and picnic tables which were a nice treat in our 2 week vacation. Short walk to the hot springs and the price is right. Owners are super friendly and helpfull, providing tips on places to eat and things to see in the region. Plan on staying again next time we travel this way.

We saw the hotel when we picked Ainsworth as a stopover on a jumbo bike ride. The family suite was all that was left, but we were fine with that. The room is easily big enough for 4 couples, and a great deal anywhere (but even better considering the resort would have been twice as much, and for only 1 bed). Super clean, walking distance to the hot springs, I'm not sure you could ask for more. Maybe a nice Ducati flag out front.

The motel is good priced, very clean and comfortable. The mountain scenery and view of the lake is astonishing. A two minute walk will get you to the hot springs. Extra towels for the pool are available. All together a lovely stay and a strong recommendation for the Ainsworth Motel. I'll be back.

My husband and I stayed here when making our way through British Columbia on a self guided tour of Hot Spring in the Canadian Rockies because the prices were so great and the other reviews on the Ainsworth Motel were all A-1. We wanted to stay near the Ainsworth Caves as this was an attraction we had been dying to get to for quite a few years. One of the owners greeted us like we were her friends and gave us that warm and fuzzy feeling. Our room had everything we needed and cleanliness is very important to us. The bed was good, that's on the top of our list too. We hate those sinky beds. If your looking for good accommodations at the perfect price stay here!
